Isiah Thomas earned his first victory as a college coach when Florida International won its home opener, beating Florida Memorial 88-82. The Golden Panthers improved to 1-3 in Thomas' first season.  

FIU defeats North Texas 35-28

MIAMI (AP)-Wayne Younger scored on a 23-yard run with 5:08 left, capping 21 unanswered points by Florida International in a 35-28 win over North Texas on Saturday night.   

FIU loses to Monmouth
